Helena Rubinstein (born in Kraków, December 25, 1870 - died in New York City, 1 April 1965 at age 94 years) was a United States-born cosmetics queen of Poland. He was born in Kraków as Chaja Rubinstein, who was then the capital of Grand Duchy of Krakau, Austria-Hungary in the region, in 1902 he moved to Australia and opened a store there, and then changed its name to Helena. He is the founder and eponym of Helena Rubinstein, Incorporated, which makes him one of the richest women in the world. Chaja Rubinstein Rubinstein was born, the eldest of eight children, to Augusta Gitte (Gitel) Scheindel Silberfeld Rubinstein and Naftali Herz Horace Rubinstein, he was a shopkeeper in Kraków. For a short time, he studied medicine in Switzerland.


He combines medical and ointment formula that the material claimed to be taken from the Carpathian Mountains. In 1908, he moved to London, then to Paris in 1912, then to New York City in 1914. Mme. Rubinstein died April 1, 1965 and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Queens. William The Conqueror Biography




William The Conqueror 
William I of England (around 1027-9 September 1087), also known as William the Conqueror (French: Guillaume le Conquérant) or William of Normandy. He was born in Falaise, a town in Normandy, France.
William the Conqueror led the attack on the Normans, Bretania, Flanders, and France against England, because he claimed that Edward the Confessor had promised him before his death became the successor to the throne of England. But Harold Godwindson also claimed the throne, so that sparked the fighting in Hastings. British troops under the leadership of Harold defeated after a win at Stamford Bridge to face Normadia. William became King of England when he had won the Battle of Hastings in 1066.


William married Matilda of Flanders in 1053. William is known to have nine children, though a daughter named Matilda, who died ten virgins when it is mentioned in several sources. Several other girls also mentioned his name not be explained with figures engaged nobility at that time.
William died when he was in Rouen, France, from wounds he sustained from a fall from a horse. He was replaced by his son William II of England.

Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi (born in Allahabad, UP, India, 19 November 1917 - died October 31, 1984 at age 66 years) was the Prime Minister of India in the period January 19, 1966 - 24 March 1977 and continued on January 14, 1980 until he suffered the murder of the 31 October 1984.
As a child of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and mother of Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi was a woman's tumultuous and highly controversial as the leaders of political parties and political state. On January 19, 1966, he was elected as Chairman of the Congress Party to replace Lal Bahadur Shastri. Indira was killed in a shooting in 1984.

Born as Indira Nehru, she married Feroze Gandhi, who has changed the name of 'Feroze Khan' and have no connection with the famous Indian independence, Mahatma Gandhi. He was the first woman to become prime minister of India.
He was killed in 1984 in acts of terror carried out two guards who embraced the teachings of Sikhism. Born in Khomeyn, Iran. He studied theology at Arak and later in the holy city of Qom, where he took the place of permanent residence and began to build a political base to counter the royal family of Iran, Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi in ​​particular. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was one of the women's movement that emerged in the United States who actively fought for the women at the end of the 19th century. Stanton is the ideal that women can achieve a position of equality with men both in church and in society. Her goal is motivated by the concern in seeing that community, church and theology has always been owned by men.


Stanton published a paper entitled The Women's Bible.Isinya is Stanton interpretations of Bible verses related to women. For Elizabeth Stanton, the Bible can not be completely rejected and accepted his teachings can be understood differently by each person.


Further according to Stanton, women should wear his wits and not blindly accept the Bible verses that undermine its role as a woman. Maya Angelou 




Maya Angelou is a poet and screenwriter, orator, and African-American actress. He was the first African-American woman who was asked to recite poems in the United States presidential inauguration in 1993. Maya Angelou was born Marguerite Annie Johnson by name on 4 April 1928 in Saint Louis, Missouri, from the couple Bailey Johnson and Vivian Baxter Johnson. When his parents divorced, Maya along with an older brother had left with their grandmother for a few tahun.Pada 1936, Maya was raped by her mother's lover and he was later murdered by his uncle. Marie Curie Biography





Maria Sklodowska-Curie (born in Warsaw, Poland, 7 November 1867 - died July 4, 1934 at age 66 years) was a pioneer in the field of radiology and winner of the Nobel Prize twice, in 1903 the Physics and Chemistry in 1911. She founded the Curie Institute. Together with her husband, Pierre Curie, she discovered the element radium.

Curie was one of the few people who won two Nobel Prizes in two fields, is one of the foremost researchers in the field of radiation and its effects as a pioneer of radiology.

Marie Curie grew up in Poland in a family of teachers. Because of the crisis in Poland, he was destitute and had to live frugally. Is even worse, he must clandestinely to learn science. Maria lost touch with Żorawski is tragic for both. In 1896 Henri Becquerel discovered that uranium salts emit a beam that resembles the X-rays in their penetrating power. Curie decided to look into the uranium beam as the field of research for the thesis. He uses a clever technique to probe the sample. Fifteen years earlier, her husband and his brother had found electrometer, sensitive devices for measuring electrical charge. Using the Curie electrometer, she discovered that uranium rays caused the air around the sample to conduct electricity. By using this technique, the first result is found that the activity of uranium compounds depend only on the amount of uranium present. He has shown that the radiation was not the result of multiple molecular interactions, but must come from the atom itself. In scientific terms, this is an important part of the job he was doing.


Curie systematic study has included two uranium minerals, pitchblende and torbernite (also known as chalcolite). His electrometer showed that pitchblende four times as active as uranium itself, and chalcolite two times more active. He concluded that, if the results of his previous activities related to the quantity of uranium that is true, then these two minerals must contain small amounts of some other substances are much more active than uranium itself.

Nobel Prize

In 1903 the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded Pierre Curie, Marie Curie and Henri Becquerel the Nobel Prize in Physics, "in recognition of the extraordinary services they have done their research on the radiation phenomena discovered by Professor Henri Becquerel."

A month after receiving the 1911 Nobel Prize, he was hospitalized with depression and kidney disease.
Curie was the first to win or share two Nobel Prizes. He was one of only two people who have been awarded the Nobel Prize in two different areas, others to Linus Pauling (for chemistry and peace). However, in 1911 the French Academy of Sciences did not choose him to be a member by two votes. Pierre's death

World War I


During World War I, Marie saw a need for the field of radiology center near the front line to help surgeons battlefield.
