Career
Alka Yagnik was born in Kolkata. Both his parents were people of Gujarat. His mother is a singer of traditional Indian music called Shubha Yagnik who wants her daughter to be a singer. Alka began singing bhajans in Radio rhythmic Kolkata since she was 6 years old. When he was 10 years old, her mother Alka brought to Bombay for diorbitkan as a singer, but was rejected on the grounds Alka voice still sounds a child. The mother then asked the music distributor in Kolkata to make a cover letter and then conveyed to Raj Kapoor. Alka Raj heard the voice which then writes a letter to the producer Laxmikant.
Film Payal Ki Jhankaar (1979) began his career as a singer Alka playback, followed by film Laawaris (1981) with the song Mere Angene and Hamari Bahu Alka Mein (1982). The song Ek Do Teen from the film Tezaab (1988) raises the name of Alka Yagnik as a playback singer star. The song Ek Do Teen produce Filmfare Award for female playback singer Alka as the best.
