Dato 'Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak or usually called Najib Tun Razak and more are also often called Najib Razak (born in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, the Federation of Malaya, July 23, 1953, age 58 years) was a Prime Minister of Malaysia since 3 April 2009 after serving as Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia under Abdullah Badawi since January 7, 2004, in addition to being a member of parliament for the week, Pahang.
He was the son of former prime minister of Malaysia second, Tun Abdul Razak Dato 'Hussein. In addition, he still has the Bugis royal blood.
Education
Born in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, Najib is the eldest son and the Tun Abdul Razak Hussein Mohamad Toh Puan Rahah Noah. He is also cousin of the minister Datuk Hishamuddin Tun Hussein.
Najib was educated at the Institution of low and middle-St. John, Kuala Lumpur, and later studied at Malvern Boy's College in Worcestershire, England. He received a Bachelor's Degree with honor in economics from the University of Nottingham, England in 1974.
Political career
Najib started to go into politics after the sudden death of his father Tun Abdul Razak Hussein in London on January 14, 1976. He won without competition to win the vacant seat of Parliament Last week, due to his father's death, when he was 23 years old, and is the youngest MPs ever elected at the time.
Najib became the youngest deputy minister when appointed as Deputy Minister of Energy, Telecom and Post in 1978 when he was 25 years old. Then, in 1982 to 1986, he became the youngest Chief Minister in Malaysia's history when sworn in as Chief Minister of Pahang at the time he was 29 years old.

Najib also been appointed as Chairman of the Institute for the Advancement of Penternakan (Majuternak). Continues its lead-tested and given the responsibility by the helm of state. In UMNO, he was elected as Chairman of the UMNO Youth Week and experts EXCO The UMNO Youth in 1976. Later he was elected as a member of the UMNO Supreme Council from 1981.
In 1982, Najib won the post of UMNO Youth Vice-chairman Datuk Mokhtar without competition after Hashim vacate office. In 1987, he was elected as Chairman of the Stakeholder UMNO Youth Movement and became chairman in 1988 when the post was vacated by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In 1993, he was fighting over the position of Vice President of UMNO. He continued to defend the position of Vice President in the party elections in 1993, 1996 and 2000.
On January 7, 2004, Najib was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.
On 2 April 2009, Abdullah Badawi resigned as Perdama Menteridan next day Najib was sworn in as Malaysia's new Prime Minister.
A brief history
Najib Tun Razak is a tribe of noble Makassar. King of Gowa (Makassar kingdom) to the I-16 Mallombasi Daeng Mattawang Karaeng Bonto Mangape Sultan Muhammad Bakir who holds Hasanuddin have sons called the King of Gowa-19 I Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sultan Abdul Djalil Tumenanga Sanrobone Lakiung ri. One of the sons of Sultan Abdul Djalil is migrated to Pahang, Malaysia, which is the ancestor of Najib.
