Petruk, Java puppet Figures

Petruk

Petruk is punakawan figures in Javanese puppet, on the descent / clan Witaradya. Petruk is not mentioned in the book of Mahabharata. So it is clear that his presence in the world of puppetry is an original composition of Java. In the realm of Pasundan, Petruk better known as Dawala or Udel.

Story

The past

According to puppetry, he was the son of the giant priest in the monastery and located in the sea named Begawan Salantara. Previously he was named Bambang Pecruk Panyukilan. He was fond of joking, either by words or conduct, and liked to fight. He was a select duel / magic at his residence and the surrounding area. Therefore he wanted to travel and to test the strength of his power.
On the way he met Bambang Bluluktiba Sukodadi of asceticism that goes from padepokannya on the hill, to try immunity. Because it has the same purpose, then there is a duel. They fought a very long time, hitting each other, wrestle, pull-pull, kick, kick, stomp-stomping, until his body became totally disabled and changed from the original form is handsome. The fight was then separated by Smarasanta (Semar) and accompanying Bagong Ismaya Batara. They were given advice and counsel so that eventually they give themselves and learn to Smara / Semar and serve Sanghyang Ismaya. Thus the events recounted in the play Batara Ismaya Krama.

Due to changes in the shape of each was then renamed. Bambang Pecruk Panyukilan be Petruk, while Bambang Sukodadi be Gareng.

Wives and offspring

Petruk mempuyai Ambarwati wife named Dewi, daughter of King Ambarsraya, King Country Pandansurat acquired through warfare. The suitors include: Kalagumarang and King Kalawahana Guwaseluman giant king. Petruk have to face them with a duel, and eventually he was able to beat them and come out as winners. Ambarwati goddess then brought to Girisarangan and Resi Pariknan who took her marriage. In this marriage they had a son and named Lengkungkusuma.

Petruk the puppet play

Therefore Petruk is a character comedian / joke (Java), then by a puppeteer composed a special story that is full of jokes and then followed by other puppeteers, so there are a lot of play-play that tells the stories of the ridiculous Petruk, for example, plays Petruk ilang Pethèlé ("Petruk lost his ax").
In the story of Temple Ambangan Spataharga / Saptaraga, Mustakaweni Goddess, daughter of Imantaka country, managed to steal the inheritance of Jamus Kalimasada by posing as relatives of the Pandavas (Gatutkaca), so that he could easily carry off treasures. Kalimasada later became a bone of contention between the two countries. In the turbidity and the resulting chaos, Petruk Kalimasada took the opportunity to hide, so as a powerful force and influence, Petruk can become king occupied the throne of the kingdom of King Welgeduwelbeh Lojitengara and title. The play is famous for its title Petruk Dadi Ratu ("Petruk Be King"). King Welgeduwelbeh / Petruk with his power to unlock the secrets of King Pandupragola, king Tracanggribig state, which is none other than her own brother, that Nala Gareng. And vice versa Bagong who lose from the throne of King Welgeduwelbeh Lojitengara and uncovered the secret to Petruk back. Kalimasada then returned to their original owners, Prabu Puntadewa.

Relationships with other punakawan

Petruk and other panakawan (Semar, and Bagong Gareng) always live in harmony as a family atmosphere. If there is no special interests, they are never separated from each other. About Punakawan, punakawan means "friend of the witness" or accompaniment. Witness considered valid, if made up of two people, it is best if the witness is composed of people who are not family. As a witness a person must be close and know something to be witnessed. In puppetry, witness or punakawan it is only composed of two persons, namely Semar and Bagong for Witaradya breeds.

Before Sanghyang Ismaya incarnate in his grandson named Smarasanta (Semar), except with the Bagong Semar created by the shadow, they then get Gareng / Bambang Sukodadi and Petruk / Bambang Panyukilan. After Batara Ismaya transformed to Janggan Smarasanta (a Semar), then it combines Gareng and Petruk and Bagong themselves to Semar. Here is the start of punakawan consisting of four people and then gets called by the name "parepat / Prapat".

History and inspiration

Commander Sir James Bond, KCMG, RNVR, was a secret British intelligence agent (Secret Intelligence Service, abbreviated as SIS, also known as MI6, or usually use a pseudonym Universal Exports). He was created in January 1952 by British journalist Ian Fleming while he was vacationing in Jamaica. James Bond's name is taken from a bird expert from the U.S., and also a bird watchers from the Caribbean.

Parents are Andrew Bond James Bond, a Scotsman, and Monique Delacroix from Canton de Vaud, Switzerland. Origin of the two mentioned in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Fleming added elements of Scotland in the James Bond after Sean Connery look at the characters in Dr. No. While the character was added because of Ian Fleming Swiss still have Swiss blood. A plan, but failed to be realized, could think that Fleming wrote a Bond novel that tells about the origins of Bond's mother. In a fictional biography about 007, John Pearson gave Bond's birthday is on 11 November 1920 (Armistice Day). The initial part of the film For Your Eyes Only provide information that the wife of James Bond was born in 1943. And this assumes that James Bond was much younger than the Pearson explained. There are several other references to the age of James Bond. In You Only Live Twice, for example, Tiger Tanaka explains that James Bond was born in the "Year of the Rat" (1924/25 or possibly 1912/13). In the novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond family slogan is "Orbis non Sufficit" (en: "The World Is Not Enough" - id: "The world is not enough").

Sean Connery (pictured in 2008) was the first official James Bond actor.
After completing the manuscript for Casino Royale, Fleming then gave the manuscript to a friend, who later became editor of the original James Bond novel, the poet William Plomer to read it. Plomer liked it and then gave it to Jonathan Cape, which was initially not too happy with the character Fleming created. Cape finally decided to publish it in 1953 after getting a recommendation from Fleming's eldest brother, Peter, who also became a writer on various regions and places.

Some observers agree that James Bond seems to be the unofficial biography of Ian Fleming, where he was a seducer of women. Both Fleming and Bond is a graduate from the same school, have the same favorite foods (scrambled eggs and drinking coffee), have the same hobbies (drinking, smoking, and wearing short-sleeved shirt), and had worked in the Navy with the Commander level . They both also share the height, weight, hair style, eye color and the same. Most of the other observer explained that the appearance of James Bond is a depiction of Hoagy Carmichael. In Casino Royale, Vesper Lynd main female character states, "Bond is more reminded me of Hoagy Carmichael, but he is cold and ruthless." Furthermore, in Moonraker, a special employee of Gala Brand feels that "Bond is very, very special, more than a Hoagy Carmichael. It has a nice black hair, but with the appearance of a very cold eye like a murderer."

Roosevelt that the power of nuclear fission-fragment an atomic nucleus, can be used to form a devastating new weapon. In 1941, before the first atomic bomb was born, scientist colleague, Enrico Fermi, argues that nuclear fusion could be more devastating.

Subsequent works, he developed the hydrogen bomb which was then attached to his identity. Its main role in the development of thermonuclear weapons (hydrogen bombs) are well known. However, he also made a remarkable contribution to the development of ballistic missiles launched from submarines (the basis of nuclear deterrence) and missile defense

The idea was developed Teller. He went on to make a bomb like that, so managed to get the title "father of the hydrogen bomb". However, reportedly, he hates the term. Magnitude megaton hydrogen bomb (million tons) detonated first in 1952, although no one ever used in war. As a comparison, the bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki weighing only a dozen kilotons.

Teller is a powerful adviser for applied science, in addition to one of the leaders of the most influential techniques in national defense since World War II until today. His advice is also very influential in the system of strategic missile defense initiative, dubbed as the "Star Wars".

Teller received many awards in her long career, including the Albert Einstein Award, the Enrico Fermi Award, and the National Medal of Science. Earlier this year, who was born in Budapest, Hungary, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest award in the U.S..

He was not able to attend a special ceremony in Washington, led by President George W. Bush's. Therefore, the award received his daughter, Wendy. During his life, physics professor at the University of California is staying with Paul (his son), Wendy (her daughter), four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Dr. Edward Teller role is very strategic in the strategy of U.S. weapons, atomic bomb began during World War II until the concept during President Reagan's Star Wars. Together with Einstein, he was "aware" of President Roosevelt against nuclear power. In the last years of his life he was widely known for its controversial recommendation technology solutions to the problem of civil and military, including the planned excavation artificial harbor in Alaska using thermonuclear explosives. Experts "doomsday bomb" was given up due to a stroke that attacked a few days ago. Teller died September 9, 2003 at the age of 95 years at his home in Stanford University Campus, California.

Biography of William Shakespeare

The great English playwright and poet William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford-on-Avon, England. Apparently he got a decent basic education but not to stomp college. Shakespeare married at the age of eighteen (his wife twenty-six), father of three before reaching age twenty-one.

A few years later, he went to London, becomes the child stage and playwright. When reaching the age of thirty Shakespeare had already shown success. And when he stepped on his age thirty-four, he was a rich man and is considered a leading British playwright. Ten years later, he had produced great works such as Julius Caesar, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth and King Lear.

Within twenty years that have special meanings that Shakespeare lived in London, his wife remained in Stratford. Shakespeare died in the year 1616 at about 52nd birthday. He had no living descendants.

There are 38 well-known drama of Shakespeare's creations, including some small drama that probably worked with someone else. In addition, he wrote a number of 154 sonatas and three or four long poems.

Judging from the genius of Shakespeare, the results and the fame that was already granted, what a strange impression may arise because the names were not placed in sequence over the top in this book list. I put Shakespeare is so low not because I do not appreciate the power of his art, but solely because I believe that in general literary figures or artists not have a major influence in history.

Activities of religious leaders, scientists, politicians, investigators, philosophers, the pecipta more often affects the various fields of human life. For example, advances in science have a major influence on the political and economic livelihoods, and also influence the religious beliefs, the nature of philosophical and artistic development.

However, a famous painter, although he had a major influence on other painters, not have any influence on the development of music and literature, it is said also to science, or field of inquiry. The same thing applies to areas of poetry, drama and music. As a result, in general bisalah say, the influence of artists that just touches the field of art, even confined to certain parts of the art. Therefore, no figures literature, music or other art that is placed on top of the sequence stars. 30, even just a few featured in this book.

If so, why still there are also artists that includes a list? The answer is, the pleasure of art is a direct part (though not always the main part) in an individual's life. In other words, someone could provide a portion of his time listening to music, read some books, some looked at the painting and so on. Even if we spend time listening to music had no influence on our other activities (this is certainly something to be exaggerated) after all this time remains an important thing in our lives.

Of course personal an artist could have a impact on our lives more than we spend time listening to music, read a book or enjoy their work. This is because his work has influenced so much good work of other artists whose results we like.

In some ways, more or less artistic work has philosophical meaning which can affect our attitude in another problem area. This of course occurs more often in matters pertaining to literature than to music or painting. For example, in Romeo and Juliet (Act III, scene 1) Shakespeare wrote saying the prince "Mercy but murders, pardoning Those That Kill," presents a clear idea (off the people accept it or not) who has a philosophical meaning and have more political influence than , say, looking at the painting "Mona Lisa."

Shakespeare seems no doubt surpass all literary figures. Comparatively, very few people now read Chaucer, Virgil or Homer, unless their work was finished reading the provisions of the school. However, staging a Shakespeare must be welcome. Excess Shakespeare in terms of stanzas perangkuman not really tertandingkan and sentences are often cited, even by people who never once did things to see or read his play. More than that, what a true real fame is not just passing traffic. His work presents a happiness to its readers and viewers for nearly four centuries. Because of these works has been steady time-tested, it is considered appropriate that Shakespeare's fame will continue for centuries to come.

In terms of determining the significance of Shakespeare one must take into account if he never lived in the world, his plays would never have written about at all. Of course, to some extent, a similar statement can be given to each artist or literary figures. However, that factor did not seem to have any special significance in the assessment of the weight of influence on artists of small size.

Although Shakespeare wrote in English, he's really known figures seseluruh world. If instead of a very universal language, English is the most close to that size than the other languages that ever existed. After all, Shakespeare's works have been translated widely and his work read and performed in various countries.

There are of course some famous writer whose work has been criticized by art critics. Shakespeare is not the case in which his work appreciated without reserve by literary experts. Playwright generations studied his work and tried to imitate as well or mengunggulinya. The combination of a very large influence on the authors and fame are not decided at the society that puts Shakespeare in the order high enough in this book list.

United States is made up of 13 former British colony after the American Revolution after the declaration of independence on July 4, 1776. This war started because the colonists felt unfairly treated by the British.
After the Revolution, the United States face many problems, such as slavery. In the 1800s, the U.S. gained a lot of territory and began terindustralisasi. From 1861 to 1865, the American Civil War raged between the North and South. This war was caused by disputes over states' rights, slavery, and the future of the United States. Some states in the South left the United States and founded the Confederacy.
North won the war, and countries that have left the union returned to the United States. This country then through the reconstruction. In the late 1800s, many Europeans came to the United States and work in large factories. At the beginning of the 20th century, the U.S. became a world power. Its economy is one of the largest in the world. The country is also involved in World War I and II.
After World War II, the United States engaged in Cold War with the Soviet Union. During the Cold War, the government spent much money on defense. U.S. involvement in the Korean War and Vietnam, and also sent Neil Armstrong and other Americans into space. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and the Cold War ended. Middle East is important for America, especially after the September 11 attacks of 2001. Now, the United States is a superpower, but still faces some problems.

Pre-Columbian

The ancestors of American natives came from Asia. They crossed the Bering land bridge into Alaska.
Pre-Columbian period is the period before the arrival of Christopher Columbus to America in 1492. At that time, Native Americans settled in the United States. They have a different culture: indigenous people in the United States east of hunting; natives of the northwestern United States catch fish native to the southwest to plant corn and build a house called the pueblo, and the natives of the Great Plains to hunt bison.

The colonial era

The British tried to establish settlements on Roanoke Island in 1585, but did not last long. In 1607, the first British settlement can survive standing in Jamestown, Virginia. This settlement was founded by John Smith, John Rolfe, and other British people who are interested in wealth and adventure. Colonies in Virginia almost failed to survive due to disease and starvation, but successful because of planting tobacco.
In 1621, a group of British people who dubbed the Pilgrim Fathers (those who fled because of disagreements with the church) settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Larger colonies built by the Puritans in Massachusetts Bay in 1630. Instead of finding gold, Pilgrims and Puritans more interested in creating a better society, which they dubbed "the city on a hill." Roger Williams, who was kicked out of Massachusetts, established a colony in Rhode Island in 1636.
Britain is not the only country who settled in what is now the United States. In the 1500s, the Spanish founded the fort in Saint Augustine, Florida. French settled in Canada and the region around the Great Lakes. The Dutch established a colony in New York, which they called Nieuw Nederland. Other regions dimukimi by Scots-Irish, German, and Swedish.
Development of the colony is a bad thing for Native Americans. They lost their country, and many of those who died from variola, a disease that Europeans brought to America.
In the early 1700s, the emerging religious movement called Awakening Movement Rohani.Gerakan Awakening is one of the first event in American history that is a "big move", or something that involves a lot of Americans. Awakening movement, along with the Salem Witch Punishment, is a response to the American situation at the time, and may influence the rationale used in the American Revolution.
In 1733, there were thirteen colonies. These colonies are usually grouped into New England (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut), the Middle colonies (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware), and the South (Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). New England had small farms, and are more reliant on fishing, shipbuilding, and South kecil.Koloni industries have the tobacco and cotton plantations. The gardens were originally worked by workers who are willing to work a few years with the entrance to the American wage and land, and by slaves. The colony was a small-sized farms, and is known to have diverse cultures and beliefs.
Thirteenth colony is bound to the "Atlantic economy", which involves the use of ships for the slave trade, tobacco, rum, sugar, gold, spices, fish, timber, and manufactured goods, between the United States, West Indies, Europe, and Africa. New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Charleston is a city and major port in those days.
From 1754 until 1763, Britain and France engaged in a war called the Seven Years War. England managed to win the war. French surrender to the British colony in Canada, and gave Louisiana to Spain; Spain gave Florida to England. Furthermore, the British issued the Proclamation of 1763, which states that people who lived in the thirteen colonies could not be settled in the west of the Appalachians.

The American Revolution

After the Seven Years War, colonists began to feel they do not obtain their rights. Besides the Proclamation of 1763, they felt treated unfairly because of the tax levied by the British government. Colonists declared "No taxation without representation", which means they have requested that they have a voice in the Parliament of Britain. These taxes include the Sugar Act (1764), the Stamp Act (1765), Townsend Duties (1767), and the Tea Act (1773). In 1770, the Boston Tea Party event occurs. Colonists in Boston dispose of hundreds of boxes of tea from ships in Boston Harbor, in response to the Tea Act. British troops then took over Boston, which resulted in the establishment of the Continental Congress, composed of leaders of every 13 colonies. Important figures in the Congress was Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, Roger Sherman, and John Jay.

Expansion, industrialization, and slavery, 1815-1861

After the War of 1812, America experienced "Era of Good Feelings" under President James Madison kepemipinan and James Monroe. Under Monroe, U.S. policy in North America is the Monroe Doctrine, which stated that America can no longer colonized by European countries. [33] In this same period, Congress asked "American system", ie by spending funds for banks , transportation, and communication, so that cities become larger and more factories are built. [34] One of the major transportation project in this period was the Erie Canal in New York. In the 1840s, railroads were also built. Thousands of miles of railway and telegraph lines have been built in the United States in 1860.
Industry in the United States is also growing. Many factories are built in northeastern cities such as Lowell, Massachusetts. Most factories produce garments. Most workers in the factory are women, and some are the children of Ireland and Germany. Despite industrialization, livelihood largely American population at that time were farmers.
In the early and mid-1800s, the Second Awakening Movement was launched. This movement started in New York. Awakening Movement is closely related to anti-slavery movement in the United States.
Andrew Jackson was elected president in 1828. Most of his supporters are poor people who have never voted before, so he gave them a job as a "gift". In addition, he also set a high import taxes which are not favored by the South. Vice president of Jackson, John C. Calhoun, who came from the South, wrote that the South should stop the policy and leave the United States.
People began moving to the west of the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains at this time. The first people who moved to the West is the man who sold the skins of animals. In the 1840s, many people moved to Oregon, and the more people who moved to the West after the California Gold Rush of 1849. Native Americans increasingly pressured by events such as expulsion (the so-called Trail of Tears) and the Black Hawk War.

Under the leadership of Nixon and Reagan, the United States sent troops and money to Latin American countries so that they do not become communist. At this time also, because the U.S. economy did not suffer as much as formerly produced goods, and because some countries in the Middle East to the oil embargo.
