Cristina Elisabet Fernández de Kirchner in La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, February 19, 1953, age 59 years, commonly known as Cristina Kirchner Cristina Fernandez or also known by the name of Cristina Elisabet Fernández), or previously known as Cristina Fernández or Cristina Kirchner, is the President of Argentina to-55 are currently serving. Previously, Christina was the mother country of Argentina from 2003-2007 when her husband, Nestor Kirchner was president. He was the first woman elected President of Argentina, and President of the second woman ever to serve (after Isabel Martínez de Perón, 1974-1976). A Justisialis, Fernández has served one term as a National Deputy and three terms as a National Senator for both Santa Cruz and Buenos Aires.


Derived from La Plata, Buenos Aires, Fernández is a graduate of National University of La Plata. She met her husband during the study, and they moved to Santa Cruz to work as a lawyer. In May 1991, he was elected to the provincial legislature. Between 1995 and 2007, she was repeatedly elected to the National Congress of Argentina, both as Deputy National and National Senator. During President Kirchner (2003-2007) he acted as First Lady. Fernández Front for Victory candidate elected president in 2007. In the general election in October 2007, he received 45.3% of the vote and led 22% of its closest rival, avoiding the need for a flow. He was inaugurated on December 10, 2007. As President of the First Lady, and then, he has become a fashion icon for women, and a leading advocate of human rights, poverty and increasing health consciousness.

Personal life


Fernández was born in Ringuelet, south-western outskirts of the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Eduardo Fernández and daughter Ofelia Esther Wilhelm. He studied law at the National University of La Plata in the 1970s and became active in the Youth Peronis. During her studies there, he met his future spouse, Néstor Kirchner. They were married on March 9, 1975, and has two children: Maximo and Florencia. Néstor died on October 27, 2010 after suffering a heart attack.


Education


Fernández studied and graduated as a lawyer from the School of Legal and Social Sciences at the University of La Plata in the 1970s. He married his college friend, Néstor Kirchner, the current president of Argentina, this marriage gave birth to two children, namely Maximo and Florencia.


Political career


Fernández began his political career in the fraction of Tendencia Revolucionaria Justisialis Party in the 1970s, and was elected deputy in the province of Santa Cruz province in Patagonia in 1989 and reelected in 1993.
In 1995, he was elected to represent Santa Cruz in the Senate. In 1997, he was also elected in the House of Representatives. In 2001, he again won the seat in the Senate.


In the November 2005 election she delivers her victory by a margin of 25 points more than his opponents. The victory could bolster support for the center-left wing who was her husband's political base in Buenos Aires.
