Carl Gustav Jung Biography
Carl Gustav Jung (Kesswil, July 26, 1875 - Kusnacht, June 6, 1961) is a Swiss psychiatrist and pioneer of analytical psychology.
Jung's approach to psychology that emphasized the unique and wide influence on the understanding of "psyche" through dream-world exploration, art, mythology, religion and philosophy. For Jung, the personality is a combination of menackup feelings and behavior, both consciously and unconsciously. Although he is a psychologist theoretical and practical in most of his life, his work explores many other areas: Eastern vs. Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, sociology, literature and art as well. Jung also emphasized the importance of balance and harmony. He cautioned that modern humans rely too much science and logic and would benefit from pengitegrasian spirituality and appreciation of the subconscious world.
