Adnan Khashoggi


Adnan Khashoggi : عدنان خاشقجي; born on July 25, 1935) is a Saudi Arabian millionaire who was a success, with the arms trade business. His house does not count, there are in many major cities in the world. One of his favorite residence is Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California.

He was educated in Egypt and the high-United States (U.S.). He is most famous as a middleman for the arms trade in the U.S. and Saudi Arabia in the 1960s and the 1970s. He has also done business with international defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.



Early life

Khashoggi was born in Mecca, the son of Muhammad Khashoggi, a doctor who was personal physician to King Abdel Aziz Al Saud. His family is of Turkish descent. The family moved from the Iberian Peninsula and settled in Saudi Arabia. Adnan Khashoggi's sister Samira Khashoggi Fayed Mohammed Al-Fayed married and the mother of Dodi Fayed.Another sister, Soheir Khashoggi, was a famous Arab writer (Mirage, Song Nadia, Moses).


Khashoggi was educated at Victoria College in Alexandria, Egypt, California State University, Chico, Ohio State University, and Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, United States. Khashoggi then left his studies to seek his fortune in business.


Business career

Khashoggi led the company called Triad Holding Company, which among other things built the Triad Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, which later went bankrupt. He was known as an arms dealer, an intermediary transactions between U.S. companies and the Saudi government, the most active in the 1960s and the 1970s. Iran-Contra

He was involved in the Iran-Contra affair as a key intermediary in the exchange of gun-for-hostages along with Iranian arms dealer Manucher Ghorbanifar and, in a complex series of events, was found to have borrowed money for arms purchases from the now-bankrupt financial institution the Bank of Credit and Commerce International ( BCCI) with Saudi and U.S. backing. In 1988, Khashoggi was arrested in Switzerland, accused of hiding the money, which was held for three months and then extradited to the United States where he was released on bail and later released. In 1990, a federal jury in Manhattan acquitted United States Khashoggi and Imelda Marcos, widow of exiled Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, of racketeering and fraud.


GenesisIntermedia insolvency

Khashoggi, along with Ramy El-Batrawi, is the main financier behind the GenesisIntermedia, Inc. (formerly NASDAQ: GENI), a public Internet company based in Southern California. After the September 11 attacks, Khashoggi based on checking accounts are frozen and Khashoggi was unable to make a margin call with Native Nations Securities, the CEO and largest shareholder, at the time, was Valerie Red-Horse, former office manager of junk bond king Michael Milken. Personal life

In 1960 he married 20-year British women Daly Sandra (Sandra Patricia Jarvis-Daly) who converted to Islam and took the name Soraya Khashoggi.They raised a daughter (Nabila) and four children together (Muhammad, Khalid, Hussein, and Omar ).
His second wife, Laura Italia Biancolini, also converted to Islam and changed his name to Lamia Khashoggi. He was only seventeen when she met Adnan in 1980 and gave him another son, Ali.
In the 1980s, Khashoggi family occupied one of the largest estates in Marbella villa, called Baraka, hosting lavish parties usually governed by a club owner Marbella's "Monroe" local celebrities and Robert Young (born Robert Parkes UK 1953). The parties are legendary, and guests including movie stars, politicians, celebrities and pop. Food was supplied by the resident chef to 6, and it is said that champagne is stored in specially refrigerated trailers parked in the large courtyard complex.

In 1985, a celebrity journalist Robin Leach declared a birthday party in Vienna that Khashoggi throw to his eldest son to become "the most extravagant events in European history.
DNA tests in 1999 confirmed that Petrina Khashoggi, who was born shortly after Adnan divorced mother, is actually not biologically, but Jonathan Aitken and Soraya children. [
Khashoggi continues to live quietly in the Principality of Monaco, even after a British court ordered him to pay £ 7 million to creditors.
