Andy Warhol, Writer and Social Figure of The United States





Andy Warhol (born August 6, 1928 - died February 22, 1987 at age 58 years), is an artist, avant-garde directors, American writer and social figure. Warhol also worked as a publisher, record producer and actor. With his background and experience in commercial art, Warhol became one of the originator of Pop Art movement in the United States in the 1950s.


Works by Warhol is best known paintings (prints screen printing) packaging of consumer products and everyday objects are very simple, high contrast, such as Campbell's Soup Cans, poppies, and a picture of a banana on the cover of the album rock of The Velvet Underground and Nico (1967), and also for iconic celebrity portraits of the 20th century, such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Judy Garland, and Elizabeth Taylor.
Outside the art world, Warhol called his words "In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes". He told a reporter, "My new phrase is, 'In fifteen minutes, everyone will be famous.
