Hosni Mubarak Muhammad Hosni Said's full name is Mubarak. He was born in Kafr El Meselha, Al Monufiyah Egypt May 4, 1928. Currently 81 years old. Mubarak became president of Egypt since October 14, 1981. Before becoming president he served as deputy president alongside President Anwar Saddat. Dated October 6, 1981 President Anwar Sadat of Egypt was murdered by a radical group that Mubarak later appointed President Anwar Sadat replaces. Background Mubarak came from the Military. He graduated from the Egyptian Military Academy with a Bachelor Degree in 1949. In 1950 he returned to study in the Air Force Academy and holds a Bachelor Degree return to pengatahuan Aviation. In 1964, Mubarak was appointed as Head of the Egyptian Military Delegation to the USSR.
Mubarak was appointed in 1964 as an air force base commander based in the west of Cairo. He also became director of the Air Force Academy in 1968. The following year he was the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and Air Force Commander and Deputy Minister of War (1972). In 1974, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and Vice-President of the Arab Republic of Egypt (1975).
In 1979, he was Vice-President of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and was President of the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1981. In 1982, he was President of the National Democratic Party and was re-elected as president (1987). Period 1989-1990, he was Chairman of the Organization of African Unity "OAU". He was re-elected as president in 1993 and again served as the Chairman of the Organization of African Unity "OAU" in the period 1993-1994. Since June 1996, he was the Chairman of the Arab Summit. He was re-elected as president in 1999 and served as Chairman of the G-15 in the period 1998-2000. President Mubarak has broad power over Egypt. In fact, he is regarded by many as a dictator, though moderate. He is known as a neutral position in the Israel-Palestinian conflict and are often involved in the negotiations between both parties.
After 30 years of Mubarak's ruling is now faced with its own people demanding his resignation. He is considered not to provide welfare for the people of Egypt, even at the end of his reign he would enrich themselves while the people feel the economic crisis. Who is the successor Mubarak? There are some names that are now sticking out as a replacement candidate Hosni Mubarak them is Ayman Nour, Mohamed El Baradei, Amr Mousa, Mohamed Badie, Ahmad Zewal.
