Petr Cech is the Czech Republic international footballer who currently features for the English Premier League club Chelsea. He is a goalkeeper and is regarded as one of the three best guards in the world.
Petr Cech started his career at Czech club Biscany in 1999 after two seasons and moved to the Czech powerhouse Sparta Prague after one season and moved to French side Stade Rennes. After 70 league games and two seasons, Cech was signed by Chelsea in the summer of 2004 for 7 million pounds for a five-year contract. He quickly secured the first choice goalkeeper spot for himself and led Chelsea to two crowns from the back of successive Premier League in 2005 and 2006.



Cech was awarded the Golden Gloves by the Premier League at the end of the 2004-2005 season to maintain a record of 25 clean sheets. In October 2006, Petr Cech suffered a skull fracture depression when he clashed with Reading's Stephen Hunt during Premier League match. He returned from injury in January 2007.



Cech has made over 100 league appearances Chelsea and signed a new contract with the club in 2007. he is regarded as one of the best goalie who ever played the game and one of the most vital players in the set-up Chelsea. He received individual awards in the Best Goalkeeper 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 seasons UEFA Champions League and was named in the FIFPro and UEFA Champions League team in 2006.




Petr Cech made his international debut for the Czech Republic in 2002 and has played over 60 games for his country. he represented the Czechs in Euro 2004 and is one of the best players in the competition. He played in the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008 Germany.



He holds the record for Premier League is not conceding a goal in 1025 minutes and for the most clean sheets in a Premier League season with 25. In addition, he holds the record for not conceding a goal in the Czech Republic 855 minutes.
